New Delhi : Union Minister Babul Supriyo met with a mishap close South-West Delhi’s Subroto Park while he was going to Indira Gandhi International Airport on a bike on Friday evening.
Mr. Supriyo, who is the Minister of State for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, endured minor wounds.
Mr. Supriyo is now out of danger, said his personal assistant.
The Minister was en route to the Air terminal to get his daughter whose flight was scheduled to arrive later at night. To astonish her, he chose to take his own motorcycle, a Royal Enfield, said his PA.
His car was tailing the motorcycle. He all of a sudden lost control and hit the back side of a SUV which had applied sudden brakes, a senior cop said.
He received injuries on his elbow and is being treated for that, sources in the AIIMS said.
