The Jodhpur High Court on Monday served legal notices to Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam Kothari and Sonali Bendre regarding the blackbuck killing case in 1998 during the shooting of the movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
The Rajasthan government challenged the B-town actors’ exoneration verdict earlier ruled by the local court.
Dushyant Singh who accompanied the actors was also served notice.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan who was the prime accused for killing two blackbucks with possession of an illegal weapon was convicted under Section 51 of the wildlife act and was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
But the other actors were acquitted in this case in April 5, 2018.
Khan had spent 2 nights in Jodhpur Central jail and was later released on bail on Rs. 50000 surety along with two similar bond amounts.
Khan’s case will be heard on April 3.
