Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Internationally acclaimed Odisha based movie producer Sabyasachi Mohapatra’s ‘Pahada Ra Luha’ (Tears of Mountain)’has been declared the best Odia film in the regional category at the 63nd National Film Awards reported today.
Pahadara Luha is again a film by Mohapatra based on industrialisation and subsequent displacement of Paraja tribals in the Koraput district of the state.
Expressing happiness and gratitude after the announcement, Mohapatra said: “As I always try to make a good cinema for which I take long time to finalize the script and actors and this (Pahad Ra Luha) is one of them.”
“My film has got the award due to the blessings of Lord Jagannath and Maa Samaleswari and the love and affection of millions of Odia film lovers”, the veteran filmmaker added.
Notably, the 66-year-old producer and director’s film ‘Adim Vicharha’ (Ancient Justice) had won the coveted award at the 62nd National Film Awards.
