Few Coastal districts in Odisha still report high number of Covid Positive Cases

Bhubaneswar: July 23: Odisha reported 1927 fresh Covid Positive cases in last 24 hours. Out of that, 1109 people were in quarantine and rest 808 are local cases. Since July 12 onwards, Odisha has been recording 2K cases around. On 19th July, it has recorded lowest i.e.1648.

As reported by Health & FW Department, yesterday 2210 patients recovered from the disease. With this, total recovered cases number reached 9,39,160 whereas total cases detected so far in Odisha increased to 9,63,851 with 1927 cases reported today.

69 more patients died due to Covid-19 and the total death toll increased to 5377.

At present, 19,261 cases are active in Odisha. Daily Positivity Rate declined further to 2.46%.

Positivity rate has been continuously declining in the State, but in some districts the number of cases detected in a day remain high.

Khurda, Cuttack & Puri district  recorded 518, 256, 118 cases respectively in last 24 hours. Among rest districts, Angul 91, Balasore 84, Bargarh 19, Bhadrak 55, Balangir 10, Boudh 7, Deogarh 1, Dhenkanal 37, Gajapati 16, Ganjam 7, Jagatsinghpur 92, Jajpur 87, Jharsuguda 9, Kalahandi 6, Kandhamal 25, Kendrapara 73, Keonjhar 33, Koraput 10, Malkangiri 12, Mayurbhanj 69, Nawarangpur 10, Nayagarh 76, Nuapada 5, Rayagada 11, Sambalpur 15, Sonepur 6, Sundergarh 50 and 109 cases have been detected from State Pool.
