Delhi: September 1: 41,965 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. On the other side, 33,964 patients have recovered from the Covid-19 in the same time period and with this, the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) reached 3,19,93,644. India’s recovery rate remains at 97.51 per cent.
Health Ministry informed, 460 people succumbed to the disease in last 24 hours and total death toll in the country rose to 4,39,020.
The Active Caseload also increased to 3,78,181, which constitute 1.15% of the country’s total Positive Cases.
The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 16,06,785 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 52.31 Cr (52,31,84,293) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.58% remains less than 3% for the last 68 days now. The Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.61%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 5% for 86 consecutive days now.
India administered more than 1 Crore COVID-19 vaccine doses yesterday. This feat has been achieved twice in last 5 days. With the administration of 1,33,18,718 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 65.41 Cr (65,41,13,508) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 69,06,357 sessions.
