Bhubaneswar: Demanding exemplary action against those involved in act of vandalism by over 30 BJP wokers in the official residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s private secretary and senior IAS officer V.K. Pandian, a delegation of members of the the IAS, OPS, OAS, OFS, OPA, Driver Associations and others met the Chief Minister Minister at the state secretariat here today.
They submitted a memorandum seeking stringent action against the accused and the instigators. Likewise, the associations have urged Naveeen Patnaik to take steps to curb reoccurrences of any such incident in future.
The Chief Minister also assured to take appropriate action against the law offenders. “Associations from all over the state have given me petitions regarding the unfortunate incident. Appropriate action will be taken,” he assured.
Notably, a group of BJP workers with party flags had stormed into the residence of V Karthikeyan Pandian and ransacked the flower pots, damaged the vehicles parked in the premises of the government quarter at Unit-6 on February 10. Besides, the BJP activists hurled cow dungs and stones. The act of the saffron party worker was condemned by people from different spheres in the state.
