PM Modi made a new abbreviation for the 3 countries: Japan, America & India. He termed it as “JAI” which means success in Hindi.
PM Modi made his intentions clear for positive economic growth in the Indo-Pacific region. He said, “India will continue to work together on shared values”. He added, “When you look at the acronym of our three countries – Japan, America & India – it is ‘JAI’, which stands for success in Hindi”.
In the meeting the White House said, “As a treaty ally of Japan and major defense partner of India, the United States share unique & exceptional relations with both countries based on common democratic values”.
It also added, “The three leaders affirmed the importance of the Free and Open Indo-Pacific vision for global stability and prosperity, and pledged to deepen trilateral cooperation”.
The US President made confirmations on “lots of trade” and defence equipment trades between them. Similarly, Japan PM, Shinzo Abe complies for a free and open Indo-Pacific.
PM Modi also used the platform to reach out to Russia & China. He tweeted in his handle, “Excellent meeting of the RIC (Russia, India, China) Trilateral. President Putin, President Xi Jinping and I discussed a wide range of subjects that would further cement the friendship between our nations and enhance world peace”.
