Police Kills Around 10 Maoists in Gun Fire in Chhattisgarh

A major firing took place between police and Maoists in Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh on Thursday around 11 AM.

The exchange of fire happened at the bank of Indravati river in Abhujhmaad. An investigation is underway and the police have recovered around 11 weapons.

Earlier on February 2, a woman was killed and another person received bullet injuries during a cross fire exchange between Maoists and CRPF personnel in Godelguda village in the Sukma district.

However, the villagers have alleged of the dead woman being involved in “fake encounter”.
