Sambalpur & New Delhi: The long wait for commuters in western Odisha has finally ended with the extension of the Jammu Tawi-Rourkela Express’ to Sambalpur which was flagged off today by the Union Railway Minister through video conferencing.
However, the regular train service in the extended route will commence from August 13.
18109 Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Link Express will leave Sambalpur at 07. 45 hrs everyday and reach Jammu Tawi at 14.10 hrs the next day.
The train will leave Jammu Tawi at 1425 hrs everyday and will reach Sambalpur at 1745 hrs on the third day.
On the extended portion, this train will have stoppages at Jharsuguda, Bamra and Rajgangpur between Sambalpur and Rourkela. The timings and stoppages for this train between Rourkela and Jammu Tawi will remain unchanged.
