Union Home Minister Amit Shah proposed for a multi-purpose identity card for the citizens of India as a possibility in future which will add up similar to an Aadhar card, voter id, PAN, Passport and bank account at the inaugural function of new building of Register General of India in New Delhi on Monday.
Shah said, a potential system to input all details in one ID card is a possibility.
The Union Home Minister said, Census 2021 data will be collected through a mobile app. The idea is about transformation of paper census to digital census.
Shah also shared the idea on Birth and Death register with voter rolls which will be updated automatically.
He added, National Population Register (NPR) will help the government to make people available all schemes of the government in an efficient manner.
