Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday at Delhi to unite all parties to oust the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming 2019 poll results to be announced on May 23.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief had an hour long meeting with the Congress President to forge an alliance among all political parties that wish to remove BJP from the Centre.
Meanwhile, CM Naidu also met CPI leaders Sudhakar Reddy and D Raja at Delhi before meeting the Congress President.
Later, the TDP chief met NCP chief Sharad Pawar and the LJD chief Sharad Yadav. The Andhra CM is also scheduled to visit BSP supremo Mayawati and former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav later in the evening.
Also a day before, the Andhra CM had met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury.
Addressing to the media, Naidu said, “We welcome not only TRS but any party which is against the BJP. We welcome all such parties to be a part of our grand alliance.”
