Bangladesh Foreign Minister Cancels India Trip in Wake of Protests against Citizenship Bill Passage

The Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has cancelled his trip to India after the huge protest over passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) in India on Thursday.

The neighbouring country’s foreign minister Momen was scheduled for a 3-day visit to India starting from Thursday.

However Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said, his trip to India was not cancelled amid the huge protest against the CAB rather to attend the ‘Buddijibi Debosh’ and ‘Bijoy Debosh’ event in their country.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Foreign minister Momen has extended his India trip in the month of January.
