BJP Candidate Babul Supriyo’s Car Gets Attacked; West Bengal Poll Booth Witnesses Police and TMC Workers Clash

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Asansol candidate Babul Supriyo’s car came under attack in Asansol early in the morning at 9 AM during the ongoing 4th phase Lok Sabha polls in the country on Monday.

The BJP leader Babul Supriyo has alleged the Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers in this incident. He said, “They want to confine me at a single place. I have to move to other places. Even those residing in buildings in front of the polling station could not cast their votes.”

BJP candidate Supriyo is up against TMC’s Moon Moon Sen (former actress) in Asansol. Supriyo had won in Asansol in 2014 elections.

While Sen said, she was not aware of any such violence activities occurred in Asansol since she woke up late.

She said, “They gave me my bed tea very late so I wake up very late. What more can I say? I really don’t know.”

Meanwhile, incidents of violence have been reported at a polling booth in Asansol between Trinamool workers and security personnel after there was a disaccord between BJP and CPI(M) workers.

72 parliamentary constituencies across 9 states in the country are under the voting purview on Monday.
