Madhya Pradesh CM and Congress leader Kamal Nath is due to face a special assembly session after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has asked the Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel to prove Congress majority in the central India state after the exit poll results projected BJP’s dominance in the Lok Sabha polls on Monday.
BJP leader Gopal Bhargava said, “I am writing a letter to the Governor for convening a special session of MP Assembly shortly. We want discuss on important issues like the farm loan waiver and test the government strength.”
Out of the 230 seat Madhya Pradesh assembly, Kamal Nath’s government is powered with 114 assembly seats. The Congress government also has its support of allies in 2 BSPs, one SP and 4 independent MLAs.
BJP is second with 109 seats.
The BJP Leader Bhargava, too added, “There is a lot of confusion prevailing over the stability of the Congress-led government in MP.”
