The Bulandshahr civilian and police personnel clash has got a stern response from the Uttar Pradesh government.
Following a meeting between the UP CM Yogi Adityanath with the Principal Secretary Home Arvind Kumar and DGP OP Singh on December 7, an intelligence report has been submitted by the ADG Intelligence SB Shirodkar on the Mahwa village incident of the Siyana circle on December 3.
A string of transfer orders of the police personnel have been released. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Bulandshahr KB Singh has been transferred to Director General of Police Headquarters in Lucknow. Prabhakar Chowdhary has assumed the charge instead as the new SSP of Bulandshahr.
Previuosly, Chowdhary held the post of SP of Sitapur. Some other officers have also been handed out the transfer orders. The Siyana Circle officer Satya Prakash Sharma has been transferred to the training centre in Moradabad.
The UP Police has claimed an army officer, Jeetendra Malik involved in the violence. Today, Army Chief Bipin Rawat said, “If there is evidence and police feels that they suspect him, then we will produce him before them. We will fully cooperate with the police”.
Speaking on the aftermath of this episode, Yogi Adityanath said, “Uttar Pradesh mein koi mob lynching ki ghatna nahi hui hai. Bulandshahr mein jo hua wo ek durghatna thi”.
