Chennai Engineer Locates Debris of Vikram Lander on Moon Surface


An engineer from Chennai spotted the debris of the Vikram lander that was unable to make soft landing in India’s moon mission “Chandrayaan-2” on Tuesday.

The techie Shanmuga Subramanian’s claims were verified by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) through their Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) Camera pictures of November 11 of the landing site.

NASA said, the Chennai engineer contacted the LRO project and briefed them on the finding of the debris.

NASA added, the LROC team confirmed the claims of Shanmuga Subramanian by comparing the images of the lunar surface.
