Congress Loses Mizoram, MNF Wins

Congress’ hold on the only North-Eastern state, Mizoram has slipped out of hands. The MNF (Mizo National Front) has swept the 40 seat legislature assembly with 26 seats. Only 5 seats have dropped in Congress share.

Chief Minister Lal Thanhawala is beaten square and fair by MNF’s T J Lalnuntluanga.

The ZPM (Zoram People’s Movement) has garnered 8 seats and BJP bags 1 seat.

The MNF was in power in the North-Eastern state back in 2008.
