In the view of the recent cross-border tensions, when the ruling government has decided to snub the Pakistan National Day reception at the High Commission’s premises on March 23, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan made a startling revelation when he disclosed the Indian Prime Minister’s message.

PM Modi had written to the Pak PM on March 22, “I extend my greetings and best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the National Day of Pakistan. It is time that people of sub-continent work together for a democratic, peaceful, progressive and prosperous region, in an atmosphere free of terror and violence.”

Later, PM Khan had tweeted, “I welcome PM Modi’s message to our people. As we celebrate Pakistan day I believe it is time to begin a comprehensive dialogue with India to address and resolve all issues, especially the central issue of Kashmir, & forge a new relationship based on peace and prosperity for all our people.”
