A local Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) train hit a stationary express train at the Kacheguda railway station in Hyderabad in the morning on Monday.
Around 12 passenegers have been injured in the incident. The injured passengers have been rushed to nearby hospitals.
The MMTS train enroute to Secunderabad from Falaknama was given a green signal on Platform 2 at the Kacheguda station where the Inter-City express was stationed.
The MMTS local train was moving slow when it hit the Inter-City express. The local tarin’s driver was badly injured.
The local train’s engine got disfigured in the accident and three of its coaches got derailed.
Meanwhile, train services in the Kacheguda route have been cancelled and evacuationary measures are in progress.
