Hyderabad Veterinary Doctor Case: SC Rules Judicial Inquiry against Police Encounter of 4 Culprits


The Supreme Court ordered a judicial inquiry to be led by a three member committee in the police encounter of four accused in the gang rape and killing of the Hyderabad veterinary doctor on Thursday.

The three-judge SC bench led by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) SA Bobde said, an impartial inquiry is required to hear out all the details in the case.

The three-member inquiry commission ordered by the apex court will have former SC judge V S Sirpurkar as the head.

The top court has asked the three-member inquiry commission committee to file a report on the findings in this case within six months.
