IAF Chief Marshal Owes Blame over Taking down IAF’s Own Mi-17 Chopper on February 27

Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria on Friday accepted the fault of the IAF in shooting down their own Mi-17 chopper on February 27.

The Marshal said, it was a big mistake from our side to shoot our own Mi-17 on February 27.

He added, a report has been submitted to the Court of Inquiry and action will be taken against the officers.

Earlier on February 27, IAF’s surface-to-air missile took down their own Mi-17 aircraft in Budgam district in Kashmir. This incident came a day after IAF conducted pre-dawn airstrikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camp in Balakot on February 26.
