After Pakistan acted against India among the neighbouring nations bilateral ties, India asked the neighbouring country on Thursday to make its intention clear after the BJP government took a historic decision to declare Jammu and Kashmir a Union Territory and depriving special rights enjoyed by the J&K residents on August 5.

A statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The Constitution of India was, is and will be a sovereign matter. Seeking to interfere in that jurisdiction by invoking an alarmist vision of the region will never succeed.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan on August 7 had removed the Indian envoy, prevented trade with India and has acted against bilateral ties with its neighbouring country.

However, India has asked its neighbouring country to revise its decision to preserve the diplomatic channel.
