LoC Ceasefire Violation Kills One Indian Army Jawan


Pakistan army violated ceasefire regulations across the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir killing one jawan of the Indian army around 6.30 AM on Saturday.

Pakistan troops fired mortar shells and small arms across the LoC and the Indian troops retaliated in response to the firing. The deceased jawan has been identified as Lance Naik Sandeep Thapa from Dehradun and had been serving the Indian army for 15 years.

Earlier on August 15, Pakistan army had fired mortar shells on the Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch district along the LoC and has claimed four of its soldiers being killed in the crossfire.
