Navy Chief: Indian Navy Restricts Chinese Ship from Indian Waters

The Indian Navy chief Admiral Karambir Singh said a Chinese aircraft carrier was not allowed to enter Indian waters very recently on Tuesday.

The Chinese vessel Shi Yan 1 was restricted after it entered country’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in Andaman Sea.

Ahead of the Navy Day, Admiral Singh at the annual press conference said, it is necessary to take our permission if you enter India’s EEZ.

Earlier in September, the Chinese vessel Shi Yan 1 conducted some activities in Indian waters near Port Blair.

Admiral Karambir Singh said, the Indian Navy is set for three aircraft carriers and the first fully operational aircraft carrier will operate in 2022.
