Patna : Just after some days PM Modi’s announcement for Special package for Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took a dig at Prime Minister of India Narendra Damodardas Modi over his ‘special package’ for Bihar, saying that nothing new in the PM’s special package. Its only a pre poll plan from the centre ruling party.
“We dissected the special package and found out the truth. It’s nothing but a mere repackaging of old schemes, appropriation of pre-approved allocations for the old ones and continued contributions to ongoing schemes,” Nitish said in a press conference.
He added that it took his team a while to figure out and break down the entire package, but they found out what the Centre had done and posted it on social media so that the people could see for themselves what the government had done.
“The Prime Minister had declared a special package. Special means something new and significant, something that belongs and has been created solely for Bihar, but no such thing has been done,” Nitish said here.
He alleged that based on this package, the BJP and its allies were trying to create a hype and declare that they have accomplished a great feat to change the fate of Bihar.
“The Finance Ministry has been seen functioning normally and this is concrete proof that they are not doing anything new. Usually, when such a large amount that has to be given to a state, there is a sense of worry as to how and from where can such large amounts be garnered, but they seem relaxed and not worried at all,” Nitish added.
Prime Minister Modi on August 18 had announced an unprecedented Rs 1.25 lakh crore package for Bihar.
“I am here today to honour my promise. I had said Rs 50,000 crore… how much do you want? Rs 60,000 crore, Rs 70,000 crore, or 80 or 90,000 crore? I am announcing a package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore. The government in Delhi will spend Rs 1.25 lakh crore to change Bihar’s destiny,” the Prime Minister announced.
