The Supreme Court verdict on Rafale issue sounded a precursor before the start of the vote bugle for the Congress party on Wednesday.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi, soon after filing his nomination papers from Amethi greeted the apex court’s decision of upholding the classified “stolen documents” from the defence ministry office to be included in the new review petition.
Rahul Gandhi said, “I thank the Supreme Court. Supreme Court has done justice today.”
After the SC ruled to examine the documents, Gandhi said, “I am ready to debate with PM Modi at a location of choosing. The corruption in the deal is very evident. He has given IAF’s money to Anil Ambani. The SC order today proves that chowkidar committed the theft.”
Meanwhile, the Congress party tweeted, “We welcome the Supreme Court’s judgement to review the Rafale petition. Satyamev Jayate!”
While Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, “SC has upheld a time-honoured legal principle. A rattled Modi ji had threatened to invoke Official Secrets Act against independent journalists for exposing his corruption on Rafale. Modi ji you can run and lie as much as you want but sooner or later the truth comes out. And now there is ‘no official secrets act’ to hide behind.”
Surjewala added, “Don’t worry Modi ji, an investigation is going to take place now, whether you like it or not.”
