Actor-turned-politician Rajnikanth embraced Home Minister Amit Shah’s ‘common language’ statement on Hindi language but differed with its implementation in India on Wednesday.
After severe opposition on the common language issue in India’s southern states, Rajnikanth backed Amit Shah’s view but also added it is difficult to be applied in India.
He said, one language will help in country’s unity and development but the northern India regions and southern states will not accept this.
Earlier on Hindi Diwas, the Union Home Minister had announced on promoting Hindi as the nation’s common language which will mark the identity of India.
Later, Shah’s comments drew flak from leaders across the nation.
