Russia has accoladed the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the highest decorum, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle.
In a statement released by the Russian embassy, PM Modi has been awarded for “exceptional services in promoting special and privileged strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of India and friendly relations between the Russia and Indian peoples.”
Russia’s highest civilian honour has been signed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is the Indian PM’s seventh foreign award bestowed on him.
A week earlier, PM Modi was conferred with United Arab Emirates (UAE) highest civilian honour, the Order of Zayed for strengthening international ties with the country.
