SC Sets November 11 for PIL Hearing over Telangana Police Encounter in Vet’s Gang rape and Killing Case

The Supreme Court ruled to hear two Public Interest Litigations (PIL) in the encounter of four accused by the Telangana police in the Hyderabad veterinary doctor’s gang rape and killing case on November 11.

Two petitions were filed against the Hyderabad encounter in the Supreme Court on Monday.

One petition filed termed the encounter as fake and the other petition demanded for a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate into the matter.

Earlier on December 6, the Telangana police killed the four accused in the Hyderabad gang rape and killing case in an exchange of fire near the same bridge where the victim was killed.
