Bhubaneswar: May 19: Odisha recorded 11,099 fresh Covid Positive Cases in last 24 hours and out of that, 6214 people were in quarantine and rest 4,885 are local contact cases.
Khurda district recorded 1460 new cases on May 18, followed by Sundergarh 983, Cuttack 867, Angul 552, Sambalpur 547, Mayurbhanj 507, Bhadrak 431, Balasore 408, Jajpur 378, Puri 356, Nawarangpur 351, Bargarh 339, Jharsuguda 307, Jagatsinghpur 302, Kalahandi 299, Bolangir 288, Koraput 280, Nayagarh 277, Sonepur 252, Nuapada 232, Boudh 213, Ganjam 196, Rayagada 170, Keonjhar 165, Dhenkanal 162, Kendrapara 156, Deogarh 107, Malkangiri 102, Kandhamal 88, Gajapati 82 and 242 cases were found from State Pool.
10,242 patients have been recovered from the disease yesterday.
With 11,099 fresh cases, total cases in the State increased to 6,44,401 and 5,36,595 patients have recovered so far.
At present, 1,05,375 patients are under treatment.
Also, as per H & FW Department’s information, 21 Covid patients died during last 24 hours. Out of that, Kalahandi district reported 3 deaths, followed by Bhubaneswar,Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur & Sundergarh district 2 cases each and one death each from Bolangir, Bargarh, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Nuapada & Puri.
