Bhubaneswar: May 29: Odisha reported 7,188 fresh Covid Positive cases on May 28. Of this, 4,026 people were in quarantine and rest 3,162 are local contact cases.
Out of 7,188 fresh cases, Khurda district was having 1,134 cases, which is highest among districts.
690 cases were found from Cuttack, followed by 515 from Angul, 457 from Puri, 406 from Jajpur, 320 from Mayurbhanj, 271 from Bargarh, 257 from Boudh, 255 from Dhenkanal, 242 from Nayagarh, 216 from Nawarangpur, 202 from Koraput, 177 from Kalahandi, 172 from Sundergarh, 165 from Rayagada, 163 from Ganjam, 154 from Jagatsinghpur, 129 from Sonepur, 120 from Sambalpur, 114 from Jharsuguda, 106 from Gajapati, 103 from Balasore, 93 from Bolangir, 92 from Malkangiri, 89 from Bhadrak, 75 from Kendrapara, 62 from Nuapada, 61 from Deogarh, 57 from Keonjhar and 54 from Kandhamal.
Also, 237 cases were found from State Pool.
Yesterday, 11,954 patients have recovered from the disease. With this, so far 6,47,133 people have come out of infection.
At present, 97,271 cases are active in Odisha.
