AICC Overhauls District Committees, Appoints New Presidents In Odisha

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) today appointed new presidents and working presidents for the District Congress Committees (DCC) in Odisha.

A circular issued by AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot informed that Congress President Rahul Gandhi has finalized the lists of the new presidents and working presidents in the state. While the positions of 11 district presidents remained unchanged, the party high command has given appointment to several new faces in the remaining 22 districts.

Satyabhushan Sahu has been appointed as the district Congress Committee president for Bargarh, Umakanta Sahu for Deogarh, Biplab Jena for Angul, Suresh Panigrahi for Dhenkanal, Dilip Kumar Behera for Bolangir, Sankar Das for Subarnpur, Hemant Das for Mayurbhanj, Benumadhab Tripathy for Sundargarh, Rabi Ray for Rourkela and Aswini Kumar Guru for Sambalpur.

Similarly, in Keonjhar Mohan Kumar Panda has been named district president, Ranjit Das in Nayagarh, Satyabrata Patra in Puri, Sarat Raj in Balasore, Manoj Rout in Jajpur, Ashok Das in Bhadrak, Chinmay Prasad Behura in Kendrapada, Girish Ranjan Panda in Jharsuguda, Suresh Kumar Routray in Khurda, Manas Choudhury in Bhubaneswar, Mohammed Moquim in Cuttack City, Gurupad Nanda in Cuttack, Govind Chandra Patra in Malkangiri, Manoranjan Tripathi in Nabrangpur, Durga Prasad Panda in Raygada, Bharat Bhusan Bemal in Kalahandi, Ghasiram Majhi in Nuapada, Bibhuti Patra in Gajapati, Barun Bhoi in Kandhamal, Sudhir Mahakud in Baudh, Dr. Trinath Behera in Ganjam, Meenakshi Bahinipati in Koraput and Natbar Barik in Jagatsinghpur .
