Devi Subhadra’s daru reaches Koili Baikuntha

The daru of Devi Subhadra was taken to Koili Baikuntha inside Shri Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri town this morning.

Earlier in the day, thousands of devotees pulled the daru sagadi(cart carrying the daru) of the Goddess from Yajna Nrusingha temple at about 8.40 AM.

The sagadi was later taken to Singhadwara (main gate) of the temple from where it was taken to Uttara Dwara (north gate). The sagadi was eventually taken to Koili Baikuntha after the temple servitors performed rituals of the daru.

Many devotees gathered at the north gate of the temple to witness the holy daru going inside the temple. The district administration had made elaborate security arrangements for smooth conduct of the procession of Devi Subhadra’s daru.

Notably, darus of Lord Sudarshan and Lord Balabhadra have already reached Koili Baikuntha.
