Bhubaneswar: The state capital has witnessed another double murder in the Chandrasekharpur’s Nilakantha slum area as two persons, including a woman have been found murdered today morning.
Family disputes might be the reason behind the double murder, said sources.
Elsewhere, another woman, identified as Dulu Tudu was seriously injured and she is at Cuttack hospital for treatment.
However, the deceased are not identified yet. The murders came to lime light after neighbours found the bodies inside a thatched house.
According to sources, the incident took place in the late night.
Meanwhile, the house-owner Gopal Bisra is presumed to be absconding. The reports also suggest that the deceased were relatives of Bisra.
After getting the information, Police commissioner RP Sharma, along with other police officials, reached the spot and conducted investigations.
A forensic team has also examined the crime scene. Though it was doubted as family-dispute murder but any concrete motive behind the murder is yet to be revealed.
Speaking over the incident, Police Commissioner Sharma said, “The owner of the house is still absconding. Preliminary investigations reveal that very hard and blunt weapons have been used as there are fracture injuries on the bodies. The actual cause of death can be ascertained after the post mortem.”
