Matriculation Examination-2018: Over 5.9 Lakh Students To Write Papers


Bhubaneswar: At least 5,90,330 students will appear at the annual High School Certificate(HSC) examination this year as informed by Jahan Ara Begum, President of the Board of Secondary Education,Odisha.

Jahan Ara Begum said that a total number of 5,67,254 examinees will appear in the regular category while 19,737 students will write their papers in the ex-regular category. The board has identified as many as 2,818 examination centres to conduct the examination in 2018.

Similarly, the examination for the correspondence courses for 3,334 students will be held at 46 examination centres and 13,978 students will appear at the examination at another 101 centres under the State Open School examinations, added jahan Ara Begum.

The board has identified a total of 302 nodal centres for the safe storage of question papers for the annual matriculation examination which is scheduled to commence from February 23, 2018.
