Bhubaneswar: Come August 31 on the Local Self Governance day, Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Pattanaik would venture out to Ward No 23 in Berhampur town to start his party’s ‘capture ward’ campaign to counter the ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ (My Booth, The Most Strongest) campaign launched by BJP.
The master strategist he is Naveen today announced his new strategy to woo voters at the ward level after a crucial meeting with party observers at the BJD’s official headquarter here.
Talking to reporters at BJD office Berhampur MLA Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik justified.“Earlier people of the state used to visit Bhubaneswar to put forth their grievances before the Chief Minister. But, now the CM will meet people in their localities to know their grievances at the ground-zero level and resolve their problems and fulfill their demands”.
The BJD supremo has asked district unit presidents and senior leaders to constitute ward-level committees across the state within two months. Besides, he distributed a template among party observers to facilitate selection of ward-level observers.
“In today’s meeting, district level matters of the party were discussed with observers,” Naveen told media persons.
BJD vice president and Agriculture Minister Damodar Rout, who was also present in the meeting said,”Naveen Pattnaik has asked the party activists to strengthen the party organisation and counter false propaganda launched by opposition parties against the BJD.”
