New Parking Fees Rules at Biju Patnaik International Airport


The Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar has announced new rates for parking vehicles on Tuesday.

With due effect from April 8, the airport authorities have announced no parking fees for private and commercial vehicles ferrying passengers to be picked or dropped at the airport.

Commercial vehicles with contract carriage license are must to pay an amount of 40 rupees. The vehicles that will be parked in the parking area of the international airport will be charged.

The parking rates of two wheelers for minimum time limit of 30 minutes is 10 rupees, while the charge will be rupees 15 if the vehicle is parked for 2 hours.

If the parking time for the two wheelers dangles between 2 hours to 7 hours, then the parking price goes upto 20 rupees while for a day it is charged for Rs.45.

In case of 4 wheelers, Rs. 20 is charged for minimum time of 30 minutes and Rs.55 for a time limit of 2 hours. From then, extra Rs.10 will be added if car parked for 7 hours and Rs. 165 is charged for a day’s parking.

Meanwhile, tempo, SUV and mini bus all are charged 30 rupees for 30 minutes and Rs.60 for 2 hours and till 7 hours an extra Rs.10 will be charged additional per hour. While the parking rate goes upto Rs. 180 if the vehicles are parked for a day.

The parking rates for coach, bus and truck will be charged at Rs. 30 for 30 minutes, Rs. 70 for 2 hours, Rs. 10 plus for every hour within 7 hours and 210 rupees for a day.
