The newly appointed School and Mass Education (S&ME) minister Samir Dash took on damage control mode after Odisha Board matriculation results of 82 schools which recorded zero pass out results on Thursday.
The new S&ME minister has issued notices to those 82 schools which have scored zero result.
On speaking to the media persons, Dash said on having discussion with the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) President Jahan Ara Begum. The School and Mass Education minister will visit all those schools with poor matric results to assess the situation.
Dash spotlighted on the diminishing status in the matriculation results. He also said on checking the attendance of the students and will consult the academicians and retired teachers. He threw light on parents losing faith on government schools.
Dash further added, on plans to introduce spoken English classes in government schools.
The S&ME minister said on a fast and swift approach on this situation as per the Chief Minister’s order.
