While the Australia team face an arduous task in overcoming India’s massive target of 622 for 7 (declared) on Day 2 of the Sydney test, their rookie wicket-keeper Tim Paine antics on & off the field has been a pleasure to watch.
After the hard day toil on Day 2 of the 4th test at Sydney, Tim Paine cracked everyone in laugh when he answered a journalist’s phone which was kept for audio recording for the after match press conference.
The fun incident happened when Paine was answering a journalist’s question. Paine took the call after asking, “Whose phone is that?” Paine’s conversation though left the room in peals of laughter.
During the course of the test series, Paine had been keeping the stump mics busy with his antics. In an instance, Paine poked Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant if he could babysit his kids.
Pant however had visited Paine’s family after the Melbourne test and held his kids in arms, a photo of which is doing rounds.
But all will not be well if Australia loses to India in the series and Tim Paine’s captaincy will be questioned.
Currently, India leads the ongoing Border-Gavaskar test series series by 2-1.
