Odisha Khaki Gold Athletes Make India Proud At World Police Games

Bhubaneswar: Earning laurels for the country two athletes of Odisha Police have grabbed gold medals at the World Police Games in being held at Los Angeles.

Tribal girl Bonita Lakra, a constable in the state police   and Bighnaraj Miridia have reportedly won gold medals in individual and team events at the mega sporting event.

Bonita, who was part of the Indian women’s team, has won gold medal in the 4 X 400 metre relay event for woman at the prestigious World Police Games. Earlier, Bonita had won silver and bronze medals in 100 metre  sprint and 100 metre hurdles events.

Likewise, Bighnaraj Miridia has clinched gold in the 400 metres event stand on the number one slot on the podium  at the championship.

Both Bonita and Bighnaraj were picked up by the All India Police Sports Control Board to represent India in the Los Angles World Police Games.
