Perth Test: India Faces Uphill of Chasing 175 on Day 5

After a wicket less morning session by India, Team Australia folded up for 243 in their second innings. Mohammad Shami was pick of the bowlers scalping 6 for 56 runs before Starc-Hazlewood partnership rubbed salt to India’s patience.

Set to chase 287 for win on a disfigured Perth wicket, India lost five wickets in today’s play scoring 112. The cracked pitch assisted the Australian bowlers quite well before Nathon Lyon grabbed the prized wicket of the Indian captain Virat Kohli. Hazlewood and Starc too grabbed their chances with the unpredictable bounce extracted from the pitch.

At the end of Day 4 of the Perth test, Hanuman Vihari and Rishabh Pant put up valiant efforts to see the day off in the face of some deceptive bowling. A daunting total of 175 still remains to be scored on Day 5.

Australia scored 326 and 243 in their respective innings and Team India managed 283 in their first innings.
