Security Beefs Up for Virat Kohli and Indian Team in Delhi after Threat Letter


After an anonymous threat letter was received by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) citing danger for the Indian captain Virat Kohli and his team, security got stepped up for the Indian team in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Ahead of the India-Bangladesh T20 International on November 3 at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi, the state police swung to action.

The NIA has forwarded the threat letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The threat letter also contains names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, BJP President JP Nadda and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
