The selection committee of BCCI has announced the squad for the three-match Twenty20 internationals series against Sri Lanka which is scheduled to start from February 9 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
In-form Virat Kohli, who is in demolishing touch and acquired the top spot in the current released ICC rankings, has been rested while slow left-arm bowler Pawan Negi has been included for the series.
Another young talent, Manish Pandey has been included for the series. Pandey played a match-winning knock in the fifth ODI against Australia which led the side towards victory.
Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Rishi Dhawan have been out of the squad as Ajinkya Rahane has returned to the side.
Indian pacer Umesh Yadav has also been rested following his poor show in the Australian tour.
The rest of the squad is same which won the 3-match T20I series 3-0 against the Kangaroos.
The three match T20I series against Sr Lanka will be played in Pune (Feb 9), Ranchi (Feb12) and Visakhapatnam (Feb 14).
