State Government Provide Helping Hand To Kandhamal Conjoined Twins


Bhubaneswar(Samaya Bureau): The State Government would provide all sorts of assistance for both operation and post surgical treatment of the Siamese twins(conjoined twins) hailing from village Milupada  under Phiringia block in Kandhamal district.

Announcing the government’s decision, Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena said that the that Kandhamal district administration would provide funds for the treatment


The twins would soon be sent to AIIMS, New Delhi, for medical examination and curative treatment. The Kandhmal Collector, meanwhile, has provided Rs 35, 000 to the parents of the ill-fated twins.


The twins were born joined at the head at Phiringia health centre to Bhuan Kanhar and Pushpanjali Kanhar on April 9,2015..


The parents had earlier admitted their children to the SCB Medical & Hospital in Cuttack where doctors after four months of treatment advised the parents to take  the Siamese twins to AIIMS, New Delhi
