Anish Bhanwala Sets World Record in ISSF Junior Shooting World Championship.


Anish Bhanwala from Haryana, India won Gold Medal setting a Junior world record in shooting competition at ISSF World Championship. This was the fourth Junior Shooting World Championship organised by SUHL in which around 31 strong shooters were sent from India.

Anish set a world record scoring 576 in three rounds in 25- Meter standard pistol breaking the record of Denis Koulakov who had scored 574 in 2002 in a competition.

In the ISSF Junior World Championship, Anish scoring 574 won by 7 points  from German competitor Florian Peter who scored 572

Among other participants from India, Shirin Godara held a position of 21st in Junior women’s 50-meter Rifle competition. Subhankar Pramanick held a position of 29th and Fateh Singh Dhillon held a position of 23rd in Junior Men’s 50-meter Rifle Competition.
