Grimming Swine Flu exterminates 92 so far this year in Rajasthan

The Swine Flu death status is getting more grim day by day as Rajasthan has recorded 11 deaths in last 24 hours while a total of 92 deaths so far this year.

“897 people have been tested positive for the H1N1 virus this year and 92 have already lost their lives. Union Health Minister J P Nadda, while reviewing the situation of Swine Flu in the state, expressed his satisfaction on the preventative measures, but said that awareness campaign needs to be strengthened,” said an official of the state’s medical and health directorate (MHD).

Nadda has assured state Medical and Health minister R S Rathor that the centre will be providing all assistance to the state and national experts’ group would be sent to supervise swine flu treatment and prevention in the districts of the state.

According to a spokesperson for the Rajasthan state government, Rathor has stressed the need to raise funds from Rs 2,100 crore under National Health Mission on the state’s geographic and nature’s adverse circumstances.

Out of 33 districts in Rajasthan, 29 are affected with swine flu. Dholpur, Hanumangarh, Sirohi and Baran were reported to be safe as per the MHD records, the directorate official said. Ajmer and Jaipur have recorded the maximum number of deaths due to swine flu at 19 each.

As far as other cities are concerned the death stats are as follows: Nagaur 7, Barmer and Chittorgarh 6 each, Banswara 5, Tonk, Bikaner, Kota four each, Jodhpur 3, Bhilwara, Duasa, Pali, Bundi, Udaipur 2 each, Ganganagar, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Jaisalmer, and Dungarpur one each.
