Bhubaneswar: A brick kiln owner and two workers were allegedly killed by a 17-year-old minor co-worker in Keonjhar district on Wednesday night. The assailant reportedly attacked the trio, when they were sleeping after dinner in their huts near the brick kiln.
The three deceased Dukhabandhu Pallei (70), Ratnakar Mundari (55) and Srikant Maharana (15) were attacked with an axe and died on the spot. Pallei was the owner of the kiln. The fourth victim Budhu Munda (15) however was spotted in a pool of blood by villagers and was shifted to a nearby government hospital in Telkoi on Thursday morning, sources said.
The police have filed a case and have begun a search operation to locate the alleged assailant Bamia Munda. However, the reason of the triple murder is yet to be ascertained, cops said
