Students fleeing campus issue: Five teachers suspended

Bhubaneswar: Five teachers including the head master of Mudulipada Sevashram in Malkangiri district were suspended on Sunday; two days after 300 students of the residential school fled the campus alleging misbehaviour of the headmaster.

The district administration has also begun efforts to get back the students back into the school as officials met the students and their guardians. Earlier, the students, who are mostly from the Bonda tribe alleged that the headmaster asked them to read the books or go home. The incident was severely criticised by the locals, sources added.
