Veteran Harichandan not to contest elections!

Bhubaneswar: Putting all speculations about his fighting the Lok Sabha elections from prestigious Bhubaneswar seat, veteran BJP leader and former minister Biswabhushan Harichandan has reportedly expressed his unwillingness to contest the forthcoming elections.

Sources said, he has conveyed his decision to state and central party leadership, but there was no clue why the seasoned saffron leader has expressed his unwillingness to contest the coming elections.

Harichandan has won the assembly elections five times during his more than three decade old political career. He was elected twice from Chilika and three times from Bhubaneswar MLA constituency. The BJP veteran also held several important portfolios as a minister and was also the BJP state head.
