Bhubaneswar: Nearly five thousand diabetes specialists from all over the country are expected to attend the four-day 45th annual conference of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes In India (RSSDI) to be held from coming November 2-5 here.
RSSDI is a research organization which promotes holistic innovative research on the cause, diagnosis, complications and treatment of diabetes in the Indian sub-continent for last 45 years.
Around 300 faculty and resource persons will participate in the meeting who will update the delegates. In a press communiqué, Dr Jayanta Kumar Panda, Organizing Secretary of RSSDI said that many original research papers will be presented and workshops will be conducted in the field of diabetes management and complications
This is for the fourth time the RSSDI is going to organize its annual conference in Odisha. Earlier, RSSDI has conducted three national conferences at Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri.
The RSSDI is a huge forum for patients, doctors, paramedical staffs and diabetes care givers to promote knowledge and understanding about the disease and fight it out in the country in the wake of the fact that several surveys depict that by 2022 India is going to be the global capital of Diabetes.
